Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, finely warty (15-20) x (8-10)µm2. Asci 8 spored, tips blued in iodine. Paraphyses thin, cylindrical, septate, tips swollen.

Notes

The 14 March 2026 specimens were independently identified by Leif Goodwin and Eric Janke. The 2023 specimen was found by the Hampshire Fungus Recording Group and identified by DNA sequencing carried out by Eric Janke in collaboration with the BMS.
